The East Bay Monthly
One of the last classes I took at UC Davis was an intensive journalism course taught by the illimitable Stephen Tu Magagnini, then Senior Writer at the Sacramento Bee. As part of this course, we wrote two longform journalism pieces, one investigative, one narrative. With Stephen’s support, and another year’s worth of reporting and writing, I finally finished my narrative piece and got it published in The East Bay Monthly.
